[Concealed Siren Installation Instructions]{.underline}
The Siren is an integral part of your security system, installing the Siren in a manner where it is visually appealing, while it still provides you with "peace of mind" is the installation that you truly want on your vessel.
The following instructions will provide you an appealing security system that is visually unobtrusive.
We have mounted the Siren at the helm station, steering pedestal, and various horizontal and vertical surfaces throughout the cockpit. Concealment and wiring accessibility must be a factor in locating the Siren. The Siren at 120 dB is very loud. Mount the Siren outside (it has an IP 68 rating), so it alarms the anchorage to an intruder, and it saves your ears…

Step 1
Find your location taking into consideration ease of wiring. Helm stations and pedestals are naturals. Tape over location with a masking tape and mark the center of location where Siren is to be placed.
Step 2
Making sure there are no obstructions or loose wires behind your location,
using the Hole saw, drill the hole completely through the location.
After you have drilled the hole, carefully remove any debris from the edges
of the freshly drilled hole.
Step 3
{width="2.0208333333333335in" height="1.9083333333333334in"}After cleaning the hole of all debris, dry fit the Siren assuring there are no hang ups. Apply a light coating of Fast Cure 4200 (1/16") around the inside circumference of the hole.
Step 4
Slide the Siren through the opening (adhesive will stick to the siren) until the Siren protrudes 1/8" of an inch, carefully take a small stainless wood screw and "set" the Siren from the back side of the opening. (This step often takes an additional set of hands to hold the Siren in place, hands that will probably end up with adhesive on them during this step)
Step 5
Carefully caulk around the front side of the Siren with the Fast Cure 4200 and make a large bead completely around the back side of the opening. Using the Mineral Spirits or Isopropyl Alcohol, take your time cleaning the surface of the Siren and all areas of the surface. The only area where adhesive should be seen is between the thin crack between the Siren and the surface of your vessel.
Step 6
Let 3Ms Fast Cure Adhesive completely set before terminating the wiring.
